Applications
A fiber optic pigtail is a PVC-jacketed fiber optic cable terminated with a connector on one end. It is used to connect optical cables to various enclosures inside or outside buildings, such as in server rooms. A fiber optic patch cord is a PVC-jacketed fiber optic cable terminated with connectors on both ends. It is used for optical transmission between terminal devices in server rooms or indoor environments, and between
various types of enclosures. It is also used in FTTH (Fiber to the Home) applications, connecting hybrid optical/electrical outlets to ONU, FOT, or optical network interface cards.
Applications include fiber optic communication systems, fiber CATV, optical communication instruments, optical distribution frames, and more.
